94 GSR into 92 DA VTACK probs....searched....

ok...here is the issue....i have a 94 GSR engine in my 92 DA..obd1 to Obd1 swap...well thing runs great....but i have no Vtec....i'm using the P72 that came with the swap. I'm getting 2 CEL's...one for the 2nd o2 sensor..and one for the solinoid....i wired it all up...the one on D6 is working fine....and A4 is the other...but the A4 one isn't working?...secondly...i know there is a need for a speed sensor right? well there isn't one on the trans....where would it be..?? should i try a 92-93 GSR ecu...? my buddy has one...i dono...why its not reading the A4 pin... i have it there....if anyone knows all the things needed for vtec to work ...let me know thanks....
First of all, VTEC will not work with the MIL on. Secondly, the P72 ecu does need the speed sensor signal which is an electical signal on a 94, but mechanical on 92-93 (I don't think the 92-93 ecu needed a speed signal, but I'm not sure). Third, OBD1 ECU's don't require a 2nd O2 sensor... I think your code is for the regular ole O2 sensor. As for the solenoid.... that could be part of the VTEC problem, seeing as how that's what activates VTEC. If you have a P61 (92-93 GSR) ecu, try that. At least you can see if the problem is the ecu or not.
hey, i did a 95 jdm gsr swap in my teg, i had vtec all wired up and it didnt work until i put my speed cable back in. the car needs to have a hooked up speed sensor and speed cable for the vtec to engage, i didnt even know this was a problem until i changed my guage cluster and put a speed sensor in, drove down the street and was amazed when i heard the vtec pop for the very first time. about that O2 sensor, theres only one on the car hence obd 1.

my speedo is working....its just not popin vtec..and i know about the one o2...buddy thought it had 2..i was just checking...i have everything wired....but i thought the 94 GSR ecu was looking for an electronic readout and were the 93 GSR would be looking for a cable..i tried the 93 GSR ecu and it just rev's to 7300 and runs like ****..
