Just wondering if anyone can give me some advice on this idle problem. I have a 95 GSR, can't figure out why after I step on gas and let rpms drop the idle drops below 500rpms and almost stalls out. could it be a vaccum leak or electrical. any advice apprectiated. thanks

 

It may be the IACV. (Idle Air Control Valve). Is it throwing a check engine light for a code 14? (I think).

 

Also check for vac. leaks. I had one that would bog my car to 600 then up to 900...I just needed to recrimp a hose. HTH

 

having teh same problem on my 92 gsr. I am gonna check for vac leaks tommorow.

 

i have the same problem but it only happens when i turn on my ac

 

thats great.. checking on all those now. theres no CEL and it idles low during cold starts around 1k. anymore ideas be good helps. thanks everyone.

 

you know i am having the same problem. i suspect my alternator is the issue. its possible that its not holding the charge in idle. when you are having that issue, check to see if an extra load makes the problem worse, or gets better without it. ie radio, air conditioning, etc.
