Which intake system provides the best sound/power for the S?

 

What about the Comptech CAI

 

I like my stock air box just fine.

You guys are pretty damn ignorant if you think an intake is going to make any discernable amount of power.

 

Any hp is some hp right? Even if it is 5hp.

Every dyno graph I have seen for the Comptech CAI has had 3-5 consistant with a nice jump in the below VTEC land. So ya 5 might be pushing it but average from what I have seen is the 3-5 range.

 

3-5 is in midrange if i am not mistaken, comptech shows 1-2whp top end, sometimes none

 

not surprisingly AEM v2's the best one

yea..5HP from a intake on a S2k sounds alot...since when companys started making parts for it everything they amde almost always made the engine lose power, the s2 engine came from the factory very nicely tuned...i dunt think the mugen intake wud sound much diferent, since they did make it with 'quietness' in mind...but i think the AEM V2 wud be the best for sound and power, but then again its 300 bucks...but if u cana fford a s2 u better be able to afford high priced parts

 

what do you guys think of INJEN intake system?

A CAI is a CAI, negligible differences (not to be confused with the ARC or Comptech). They say V2 is the best...so instead of maybe 2.8 whp, youll get 3.3.
