Default PLEASE help...car has been down for 4 Weeks now.... Overrev

Here's the quick story... i overreved the car... i was far from home so i drove it back... car drove perfect until you came to idle speeds when the idle woudl become rough w/ a misfire on #4... compression was bad in #4 so i took head apart, found that the top of the valve got broken off on intake valve on #4... everything else looked perfect(cylinder walls, valve seats, everything.. luckly the keepers didn't let go of the valve so the damage was very minimal...

so i put a new valve in and put it all back together, and now i'm getting this nasty sound around 2000rpms and 2900rpms.... imagine the sound the timing chain woudl make if it was rubbing against metal while turning... it sounds like that, a chain gattling sound...but it's coming from around the piston #4 area... it's definetly not the chain, it's just the only way i could describe the sound.... i took the valve train apart and checked everything over and still get the noise.... it ONLY happens at these rpms really, otherwise it sounds pretty normal...also, i did NOT hear these noises when i was driving back, so it had to do w/ a reassembly error on my part....

please, any suggestions, i'm about to give up. the car has been in the garage for weeks, just trying to figure this noise out... any help? thanks alot

Sounds to me like either you didn't find the extent of the damage, or you didn't put it back together right.
