can you have rear sway and tie bars? on an EG? i saw a pic of TrackSol's 1994 del Sol Si...and it doesnt look like you could have both. if only one can fit, what's better?

Get an itr bar (22mm) and an ASR subframe brace and you'll have the best.

Well when it comes to just putting a sway bar on your car around 22mm or bigger you will tear the sub frame, If you go with ST speed tech or Comptech they come with a brace that will fit over your sub frame and have a tie bar to reinforce it. You can also go with a ASR and a ITR sway bar(also 22mm). Mainly I don't think a tie bar by itself will do any good with a sway bar if you don't have a good brace for the sub frame.

Your sub frame will tear because it is a thin piece of metal and I have seen it plenty of times when you use just a thick sway bar on a EG. Repairing it is a bitch as well

The ST speed tech and comptech come with one and ASR is a just a brace that you can add a sway bar too. Beaks kit is one also but I have heard a lot of pll tearing there sub frame with it.

I'm guessing that's a 19mm sway bar, if its any bigger I wouldn't take your car to a autocross track. Since I don't have much experience with this kind of bar you don't have to take what I say to heart but that doesn't look like enough to me(if your using 22mm or bigger)

It's not that 19mm is not enough it will show improvement but 22mm is thicker and would be stiffer. I haven't had a 19mm to know how big a difference it would make but I wouldn't use the srr with a 22mm bar. If you get the standard ST bar I think that is 17 or 19 honestly im not sure. If I were you I would go around other forums and take multiple ppl's opinions on what they have had experience with before you buy anything.

Edit: the reason for my comment about the ssr is that I cant find any feedback on this bar and it doesnt look that well designed for a swaybar in my opinion

take the guesswork out and go with Comptech. It's pretty expensive though...$400. Comptech has a "new" hardware upgrade kit b/c of a redesign in how the endlinks are attached; if you decide on Comptech, get the new ones directly from them since it'll come with the upgrade already.

Otherwise, it's $60!
