Default How **** are you about chain lube?

and how important is the lube you use? Im curious because it seems alot of people around here, dont take it very seriously, or didnt even know it was something you had to do every 500 or so miles or when wet. maybe thats because it seems mainstream Cruiser riders are the accountants during the day, biker by night people....

If you want your chain to last then clean and lube it often.

DO NOT USE WD-40! If you have ever felt chain lube on your fingers its super sticky. WD-40 is much too thin and will fling off your chain in no time at all ending up with a very dry chain. I like to use a wax base lube but their are many out there that will work just fine. also, if you don't like lubing up ever 500 or so like its said, get an X-ring chain. rather then having a regular O ring, it has a ring that's in the shape of an X for a double seal. there is also one I THINK its called a WX-ring (triple seal)
