rotor cap does not want to come off?
OK well i was trying to replace my rotor cap in the dizzy today but i cant seem to get it to slide off. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what they did. I was thinking it didnt want to come off because in the engine bay was warm that maybe i needed to wait until it cooled off more. Let me know if you have any suggestions. thanks for any help

if you took the allen screw out, it should slide right off. if the screw isn't visible, you'll have to take off the dizzy. it's just 3 12mm bolts, and a couple wire connectors. either make marks, or remember roughly how the rotor was positioned.
once the dizzys off, rotate the rotor until you see the allen screw, and take it out. it should then just slide right off. if not, use some PB blaster or WD-40, and if that doesn't work, nothing will.
then just make sure the rotor/distributor shaft is facing the right way, pop it back on the cam, and put the bolts back on.
okay, i just remembered something. you need a timing gun to realign the distributor. if you don't have one, do this: just take out the spark plugs to relieve engine compression, leave it in gear, take off the e-brake, and push on the back of the car to rotate the engine until you can see the screw. good luck. this should take care of your problem.
