I think it would be ok to carefully sand/file the burr down so it doesn't stick out and use the pistons. Pirate used a pretty beat up set of H22 pistons in his budget built g23. 6k so far and no problems...

Why be cheap? Go get some new pistons and save yourself the greif in the long run.

mostly its just the carbon and the camera making it look worse then it really is. the flash makes all thee fibers and **** really come out. this is the only piston of the 4 that has a mark on it and its the only mark. the rest are smooth

Get yourself some sandpaper, and sand away. As long as there is not anything gouging the cylinder, it will perform as it the "dip" were not there. Good luck with it.

well..u can spend 150 now on a new set of pistons..or if u fuckup or scratch your cylinder walls later..u can pay 150 for new pistons, 100 for rings, round 160-180 for a overbore n hone and wham..so extra 150 now...? or extra 400+ later..u choose, either way its your choice

well i wont be spending any of that money cause i fixed it took it over to my friend to have a look at it. he builds motors and has been racing for 20+ years. he took a file to it, and smoothed it out flush and handed it back to me. seriously only took him like 30 seconds. said it would be fine
