Default Just ordered myself a new TIG torch..

Just ordered up a new torch from the tigdepot.com . Spoke with Cary over there and he was very knowledgeable and helpful.

The main reason I upgraded my torch is because the one that came with my 180SD is the heaviest most rigid PITA torch to weld with I've ever used. It feels like someone is pulling on the cable while I'm trying to weld. After 5 months of that I can't take it anymore, hahah.

I went with this one

The flex head and superflex cable should be awesome. I also picked up some gas lenses, so I'm excited to try all my new toys out

Does anyone have any opinions on the torch I purchased or the one that comes with the 180SD?

I had tried the flex head and super flex cable that you had bought on my firends tig. That setup is badass! You will ove it. Planning on ordering a set for myself.

It looks good. I have never used a flexable unit like that. Let us know how you like it compaired to your original. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah, like the others said, you are going to love it. It makes tube welding 10 times easier.

Good cause the torch I've been using has made life difficult when welding tube

Yeah, I used the same torch (from the 180sd) for a long time on tube, then switched to a flex head with a gas lens. The difference is tremendous.

Just got my torch here at work from the UPS guy. A big thumbs to http://www.tigdepot.com for everything, and prompt delivery to boot!

Anyways the torch is awesome. Super light, much smaller than my old one, and the superflex cable is amazing. I expected it to be rubber, but its actually like a braided nylon and slim. I could tie a knot in it if I wanted to

The torch head pretty much flexes to a about 60 degrees I'd say...

I also picked up the gas lense kit from them and I had a quick question regarding gas flow. I usually weld steel at about 20cfh...the gas lenses advertise a savings in gas due to reduced flow. Is there a factor I can apply to the suggest gas pressures to get what I should be using with the gas lenses?

Can't wait to get off work and try this bad boy out :D

Well I spend about an hour on the torch yesterday and I gotta say I love it. It bends 90 degrees in any direction and makes life very easy for getting into different joints. The gas lenses are nice as well and leave my stainless welds looking like a rainbow
