just got my blue japanese suspenstion spring (kg/mm)..will try it out on saturday morning of feb 16..so if anyone wants to assist...i'll "preciate"..if not,

Some of us might be in that area on Sat... it's really not that hard to do. The hardest part is to compres the springs, but that's quite easy on an ITR as the springs are already "short" to begin with. Only suggestion is to have Helm's to torque everything down to spec. Now... if there are enough grubs for us, we could swing by and probably change it for you in about an hour.

we won't really need a spring compressor for the ITR setup. Spring should be compressed easily by having a person hold the suspension while 1 or 2 people push on it. Then, just take the main nut off and you're good to go. But, if need be, you can rent one from your local store... just don't get one designed for a monster truck... they never fit on Honda's.

 

Yeah i saw that on www.atl-scca.org but saturday is what they call the "novice school" and you get to use *almost* the same course on sunday.

It's very similar so you get some idea of how it will be. Every 1/10 sec helps, and you get some early seat time.



imho: it's better to have a spring compressor and not use it, than not have one and need it.

Ken - Well, if you go on Sat... you need to have paid $50 already. That's double the price of regular runs...

R R - mind checking out a spring compressor from AutoZone or whatever around the area? Don't need to buy one... they rent it out with a small deposit.

 

Trust me, unless the new springs are much longer than stock, you WONT need
it.
