Default window off track, need help.

Hey guys, i've searched but can't find anything that will help me. I have a EM1 and never had any problems with my windows until tonight. I was rolling down the window, and it was super slow. I then tried to roll it up and the glass would go up slowly, the glass shifts to the right to the point that it stopped halfway. I kept rolling it up and down hoping that it would get on track.

Of course it started to rain lol. I finally got it up with force and massaging it up. I don't want to have to pay someone to fix it and am wondering if there is any writeup or recommendations for getting it on track. thanks guys.

i had the same problem on my ek. what i do is basicly take part my door panel. which means there should be 8 screws all together and pop of the hand crank. there is a clip you need to like push off its kinda hard to see but there is a omega symbol looking clip that holds the crank on. note it might fly out. it did on me. then what you do is gently pop the door panel off from the door. remove the panels doors from an angle(up and out). remember how you take it out because thats how you put it back in. o a trick keep the window up half way. its easier to put the panels on. then what i do is remove the plastic skin carefully, its kinda fragile. then what i do is lower the window all the way down. i get a wrench and unbolt the nut on the lower right corner which is holding the track. then i gently force the glass back on the track. the reason to remove the skin is so you can use the other hand to help guide it in. so what i do from there is once its on the track again i bolt the nut back down but not fully because i give it a lil room for it to wiggle so it doesnt pop out again. test it out to make sure its fine. i would oil it up but i forgot what people used for it. i was to lazy to get some when i did my windows. but yeah then all you do is put everything back together. i hope this helps you.

yes, exactly above. Don't waste your money to get it done at a shop. It can be easily fixed and lubed within no more than 30mins..............most of the time the problem is the window came off the rubber track. Open door panel, bottom left corner is where the window is connected to. Loosen bolt, put window back on track, tighten bolt and lube the rubber track. That should fix it. This happen to me twice a year on the 3 years i've owned my 1998 civic........

They have some good info. The first time is kinda gay though. Trying to get it back into the track is kinda difficult the first time, but it is pretty easy as they said. Good luck!

THanks for the help, i just finished. Everything went very smoothly until I had to put the door panel on. Jeez that thing was stubborn, then all of a sudden it just popped on. I lubed the rubber tracks so hopefully they'll come up quicker. Great directions, i didn't have any trouble putting it back on track. Thanks!!!

right on, it was pretty easy, it was the first time i've ever opened a door panel. Just go slow and try not to break any of the clips. I used silicone lubricant for the tracks...have fun.

Sure it's easy getting the front fixed... but what about the back track! :-\ somehow it came unbolted and was just lying in my door, WTF!

and now the bottom most weather stripping on the back part is bent inwardsish, so, I just don't know!

Any tricks on putting the back track back in place? I mean, you can slide the rubber back into the metal, and bolt it up but you can't really see the track/window at the top.
