thats the link to one of the many cheap coilover kits on ebay. but the price is way too cheap. dont coilovers usually cost at least $800 and cant they go up to $1500? my car is a daily driver and i might see some track time in the future, so i want a system that can cater to that. i really dont know much about this but im willing to learn. dont wanna spend money on something thats gonna be crappy. any help will be appreciated. thanks

they probably suck. they're cheap tho..u can buy them just to try them out..they are not full coilover systems. they are just the springs and the sleeves. you still need to find a shock to use
u can probably use ur oem ones, but ur handling isnt going to get any better. ur car is just going to look lowered.

I'm running tein flexes now. I'm very impressed by them. Off the top of my head, the other options are buddy club (which I believe is closing, not sure though), d2, and endless zeal. Don't get the shitty ebay ones. They're horrible.
Or you could get a shock and spring combo, which is cheaper but still decent. I like the adjustability of my teins though, and you can't adjust the height on a shock/spring combo unless you get coilover sleeves like those. If you do, buy good ones, not ones off ebay.

i am running ground controls on stock struts, and when i had it lowered aout 1.5 - 2 inces it rode very smooth, but now i have it slammed and its kinda boucy, if you planning on using stock struts, then those are going to be pretty bouncy, most ebay coilovers use the same spring rate, front-rear, so it will be kinda bouncy, if your planning on slamming it, its gonna be bouncy rather or not if you use stock struts or not.

i say dont lower your car nomore than 1.5 inchs cuz i dropped mine on 2inch front and back and ive had nothing but problems. From scraping everything on the bottom of my car to even scraping my down pipe. I jsut recently got a chunk knocked outa my transmission. It had road scratches on it so that leaves me to belive somthin hit it. so im raising my **** back up
Ebay coilovers are great for dragracing at the track. They suck on the street because they are too stiff.People complain they are real bouncy.Thats because the spring stiffness overcomes the shock and you will launch the car on every bump.Having a high spring rate can cause the front wheel to come off the ground if you hit a bump and is dangerous.Any car is dangerous with a high spring rate its not just the cheap ebay ones but any brand.Save the high spring rates for the track.

That shouldn't be happening with a properly valved shock mated to the "high spring rate spring."
I wouldn't necessarily say that the high spring rate is the dangerous part, it's the way you're driving on the street with the stiff springs. The reason why most cars understeer like hell is because people can't resist the temptation to drive like ******* assmonkeys on the street--so car companies "dumb it down" so people aren't killing themselves so much.
With a stiffly sprung car, you should know what you're doing and the constraints of your particular car setup and drive appropriately.

those are not coilover, they are adjustable springs.
full coilovers are consist of shocks, pert and springs all built in one.
