Time to bring this thread back to the top...I dont have a metal pin on the inside where the **** goes, where do i find a replacement pin...
I hear you have to pull apart the dash or something to get the pin in...or can i just snap it in?
Also is this something i could do EASILY by myself or can i bring it to someplace? i want to get this fixed now b4 the winter comes and i cant turn on the heat : /
Thanks

A pin of that size shouldn't cost but maybe a couple bucks from a dealership. Even the ***** aren't that expensive.
You should call your local H store and ask parts. It doesn't hurt to get a price.

Dunno if you checked up on you last thread, (https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1331796) but the same info applies whether you are talking about the fan speed **** or the temp ****.
Yes, unfortunately something inside is broken. See item 11 or 13 below:

So, obviously the **** resembles a female type fitting. If the post, pin, male part, whatever you want to call it (that you push the **** onto) inside the fan switch or heater control **** is broken or missing, it is only replaceable by completely removing item 12 below:

and also items 1 and 4 below:

This is a time consuming but easy to do job. I'd hate for you to have to pay so much for labor for such a relatively cheap part.
Again, I hope this helps

If you can't afford to fix it you can always move the bellcrank by hand before you start driving. It is white and is located on the right hand side of the console all the way toward the firewall about where the console meets the carpet. You cant reach it while driving but is better than freezing.
