JIC suspension impressions...
I'm interested, too.
I spoke with their rep at SEMA and they seem to have an excellent product.
If I get a chance, I'll scan some pics of their brochures.

We carry them now at jdmhondaparts.com
Here's some pics i took of the two models we carry.
SF-1 which is a coilover shock with a set damper and has a steel body, these are gonna run around $1300 i think, don't quote me tho:

FLA which is a step up, has an alumunium body, shock height adjustable, 18 way damper adjustment dial. Its kinda like the APEXi N1R suspension in a way (adjustable shock body height), but has stiffer settings. FLA's are 1/2 a pound lighter than the SF-1 model ( weigh compared em). These are gonna run about $1500.

both sets come with pillowball mounts and have a beefy shock piston. Spring rates are variable, i think you can order whatever spring rate you want. This is the only info i have on these right now...
snoop this directory for the rest of the pics:

As I know they're more well known in the drifting scene in Japan. Know someone using that on his Impreza in Toronto. He sold it after he got it for a month and bought Cusco instead. What he said is it's even worse than his TEIN HR.

did he say what was so bad about them? did they upset the balance of the car, or was the ride really horrible, or was it just poor build quality, or something else entirely? i'm just curious because they look to be nicely made...
For long term quality, there isn't much problem since he just used it for a month. So nothing like rusting can be reported. It's still in spanking new condition when he swap 'em out.
He doesn't like the ride quality I guess. Spring rate is around front 8k and rear 5k as I remember(it's been a year ago) which is pretty ideal for impreza on and off the circuit(he used to go to Shannonville, Ontario).
I sent him an email about it and I still don't have his reply so far.
I have them on my hatch and I love them. They are probably the best things I put in my car besides the motor. I have the flt-2as and they can handle a lot of spring. Right now they are running on ERS springs 650 f 750 r and they are pretty smooth on the street. When you hit bumps you defiantly feel them but they are very streetable in my opinion. They are 16 way adjustable and came with pillow ball mounts with very little shock travel. There are only two problems I can see with them. 1.) If they blow IM SOL because I will have to send them to JIC in Japan for a rebuild. 2.) Because of the civics weak shock towers IM eventually going to have to reinforce them or they are going to balloon out due to the stiff springs. Here are some pics
They are a little dirty
The pillow ***** have spiracle bushings
Old springs they where to soft 10k f/ 5kr Went for 12k f/ 14k r about.
Any more questions IM me. I couldnt put it all into words right now on how much I love these shocks.

The FLTs compare to the REs,B6s, and pro-R(not sure on that one) because they have similar features but I like the FLTs because they are cromoly(sp?) and not aluminum bodied(tien, not sure what zeals are made of). The Sfs are similar to B2s,HA, and tanabe pro-s. Also JIC for a while and still may be the coilovers 5zigen used on their N1 civics after switching from Buddy club.

won't the rear shock be undervalved?? since originally it was designed for much softer spring rates in the rear?
650/750 is streetable? cool.
can i get a ride next time i'm up there in sacto. I'm at 560/560 and i'm thinking about moving up a little bit...

The only time they have bottomed out is when I hit huge potholes but other then that I haven’t had any problems with the stroke height. The only time its a pain is getting the front ride height set when they are in the car due to the load on the shocks.
Sorry Frank IM up in Washington now until the summer so it may be a while till you can get a ride. Also the shocks are valved to handle much stiffer springs they just came with a more streetable set up.

I've seen the FLT-A2's in person and they were really nice. The damping adjustment is also much easier than A'pex N1's. For those concerned w/ service/overhaul of the JIC's, check out http://www.jic-magic.com . They're supposed to be the US Importer of them and they told me that they can do all the servicing and overhauling for JIC's. The shop is called Ziel Motorsports. Also, the civic/integra dampers are rebound adjustable only, at least that's what the JIC USA guy told me. I met one guy with them and he told me that they are valved VERY aggressively...very stiff! And I think the FLT-A2's are chromoly also, not aluminum. HTH.
