Finally got my car started, motor is running great.. thanks for everyones help. Well found another BIG problem.. Diagnosis: I can select gears when the car is off. but when the car is running, it just WONT go into any gear.. 1st nothing, 2nd nothing, etc..it just refuses to go into any gear, only Nuetral.. I started the car with 1st gear engaged.. and it moves foward and stalls.. I tried adjusting the clutch cable all the way tight, and all the way loose.. Any ideas?! I need to get my car rolling.. thanks in advance..

 

u know what i think it is that your cluth is shot i think u just need to replace it or have some one that know what they are doin look at it

 

maybe a spring on the clutch came off???

looks like you're gonna have to pull the tranny off to see what's up with the clutch.

 

Pull the tranny.... take a look at the clutch.

 

Had the same problem when I did my ZC swap. The PP was good so I just replaced the disc and TO bearing and it worked fine.

 

I have broke 3 clutch disks, ripped the springs right out of the disk. They all left me stranded. Twice I had to get a tow home the third time I said screw it I put in 1st gear and drove home using the side streets, at every stop sign the car would stall. Then I bought a racing clutch and no more probs.

If you put in first gear start it and give it gas when it feels like it is going to stall it will disengage and idle so you can drive but when you go to put in 2nd it won't go.
