I had to buy a new sticker after I picked up my R. The driver's side "R" was chipped so I went and purchased a new decal, it wasn't THAT expensive, not in Florida anyway. $35 I believe for the rear and $42 for the side I think. I paid $35 at first and it was delivered to their shop in less than a week, I picked it up and took it outside only to realize it was for the rear! So I took it back in and paid the $7 difference and they ordered the correct one, came in the following week.

Not if you want Genuine Honda parts...

Order from the "Acura of Escondido" ebay store. If they dont have it as one of the items for sale, just email them and they'll email you back the same day and tell you how much. They ship the same day also. I've gotten a couple small things from them (including rear ITR sticker - $24 shipped) and they get

the oem stickers are cut to where you match up the location and stick very user friendly.

The side panel OEM stickers come with placement templates.

If he had done a search ( ) he would have found the part numbers, and prices and where to buy them, in a post just three days ago, here.

Those who are quoting prices, don't forget that the stickers for the white or yellow cars are less expensive than the stickers for the black cars. (That's probably because there is lower parts volume for a color that doesn't exist. )

The Helm's manual shows you exactly where & how to do it.

You know, everybody says the sticker comes with a template to line it up correctly but my stickers didn't have any template whatsoever on it. I studied the other side and left a slight edge from the old "R" adhesive to give me something to line up against. Then I cut the "R" off the complete sticker, peeled it off and then sprayed the car and the back of the sticker with windex, that way I could move it around when placed on the car, and when it was in the correct position, use a credit card or something to smooth it down, then just let it sit for a few days. Also, yes on the Black/White stickers being different and probably being different prices too. I didn't specify which one I wanted and I guess I just got lucky with him ordering the white sticker.

That's not what everybody says:

Not recommended -- glass cleaners will break down the adhesive of the sticker, and could quite possibly cause the decal to not stick at all.

i've gone through a sponsorship minivan for BMX when i was 17 and a riced out Sol w/ stripes. the best thing for stickers is a 65/35 solution of water/dish soap. use a credit card or similar object (squeegee) once you have the sticker in place.

Ok I'm sorry, not EVERYBODY, just 90% of people. There is clearly no template on the sticker I bought so I'm just warning somebody that if you think it's going to come with a template and be a piece of cake to line up, it might not be. The Helm's manual will be good because he doesn't have another sticker to take measurments by like I did. I'm just forewarning you about the template.

You can find the positioning diagram on page 20-168 of the 1998 Service Manual.

It assumes that you have the entire sticker, not half of it.
