'94 Accord B-pillar question
About a year ago I was browsing the internet for nothing-in-particular, and I stumbled upon a site that sold a rather large tubular brace that went between the B-pillars to help with body flex during cornering and also for mounting the shoulder straps on a 4pt harness. Since then, the computer I was using (laptop) consumed a rather large amount of Dr. Pepper and I lost all of my information. I was wondering if anyone here has ever heard of this or maybe if anyone knew where I could purchase one of these. I've been searching google for the past two nights and haven't come up with anything yet, so I thought I'd ask other people who own the 5th gen Accord if they could help me out.
Spearco came out last fall or winter i believe with a brace like that. but its not like it anything new. any shop that builds roll cages should be able to fab you something.
not a good idea to mount a 3+ point seat belt to anything but a complete roll cage (or at least rear roll care)....so basically, its a camera bar that somehow bolts to the frame within the b-piller?

Because if you have a rollover.....and no rollcage to prevent the roof from caving in on you, you'll be crushed because your 3/4/etc. point harness is holding you upright...not allowing you to avoid the roof...

all those bars that you see on hatches are pointless IMO.....for the amount of money you end up shelling out for those you could easily have a rear roll cage fabbed for you....it not only would be ALOT more functional in terms of stifining the chassis, it would be helpful instead of harmful in a serious crash...
you need to mount a harness to a full roll cage because otherwise, chances are the mounting points wont hold.

Well, I really didn't want to go with the full roll cage, because I still haul people around in my backseat every once in awhile (It's a sedan). I just wanted a quick-fix for the harness mount issue.

yea, there are alot of companys out there with premade designs that come in diferent styles, so u can pick one that will not make ur backseat inhabitable...or u can go have one custom fabed by a shop, just make sure they use high quality material(dont know much bout rollcages but i know they use chromoly steel alot) and that they know what there doing and just isnt building a monkey bar set in ur car
