removing role pin

having trouble takeing rore pin out of shift linkage any sugestions it is a 98 civic ex

1/4" or 8mm non-tapered punch and a BFH.

Yeah, get a roll pin punch set from Sears. $20. If you can, get an 8mm. My Sears didn't have one, so I had to buy the metric set. The largest one out of this set works fine.

Oh yeah, DON'T use a rubber mallet. Too much energy is lost in the head of the mallet. And wear goggles. You're gonna get a lot of **** in your eyes when smacking the crap out of the pin.
