Default Engine is lagging

I have a b16a sir II in my 94 civic ex. I am pretty sure everything is hooked up correctly. The car runs but it is sometimes bogs in first and second untill about 3500 rpm. After 3500rpm, when i floor it will somtimes bogged but always climbs gradually. Its definetly is lacking alot of power. It is actually slower than my d16z6 when it is NOT bogging. I have replaced the cap, rotor, and plugs and the timing is dead on. The ECU is NOT throwing any codes. Any suggestions? I am also running the stock exhuast.

I hope this explaination is good, if you dont understand let me know.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Leon

How is your fuel? Did you check your timing? What ecu are you running?

I had a shop check the timing and they said it was right on. I am running a p30 ecu and I have wired the knock sensor. The ECU is NOT throwing any codes. I believe all the sensors are hooked up correctly. As far as fuel, Im going to change my fuel filter today.
Any more suggestions?

Thanks Leon

I had this problem w/ my b18 - all it was for me was my idling. it could be minor stuff as well - possibly ignition rotor is worn down, need new spark plugs, dirty air filter.

All I did was replace my ignition rotor, because mine was worn down so much it barely made an attempt to spark. Then I adjusted my idling, and used a timing light for adjustment. my car runs very smoothe now

one other thing we did was adjust my throttle cable - maybe yours is stretched or out of tune.

true, if you haven't done the normal tune up stuff, now is the time. Dizzy cap + rotor, plugs and wires, fuel filter, and injector cleaner could all help.

I have done most of the standard tune up. I have replaced the cap, rotor, plugs, checked the timing. I am going to replace the fuel filter today.

To clean my injectors, do i just buy some stuff to put in my fuel or is there a procedure?

just buy the cleaner, and if you want to make sure, pull the fuel rail and point the injectors at a bucket while someone else tries to start the car. You'll see if one isn't firing correctly.

Yet another thing you should try, I agree.

also try cleaning your throttle body... maybe there is gunk all up in there.

Since you changed the spark plug wires have you made sure they're in the right way at the distrubitor? You can mess up the orientation and the engine will still run, but it'll run really bad.
