Default spoon calipers... protoype...

hey i found this on A&J...
what's the difference between the old and this prototype in the picture???

Those are S2000 calipers, not prototypes.

well if u goto a&j's website, it says prototype...

so it's just s2000 calipers?

could be a prototype..
Spoon has a couple new caliper models coming out. They have a caliper Ad in the new HyperRev Civic bible #3 and VTEC sports #4 I believe.

would they waste time and money making new ones for DC2?
i figure it will be new ones for DC5... and maybe s2000...
does a&j have any input on this?

Yes Spoon Has 2 types of calipers now for the DC/EK ect ect they are a 1 piece design and they go for the same price as the 2 piece did ...80000 Yen now for the 1 piece and 64000 Yen for the Older 2 piece...
Just my 2 Yen

yes that is the new monoblock caliper for the AP1,DC5,EP3...and yes they do come in blue ..its can be used on all those cars with the right bracket that spoon offers now..

That's ~$615 for the new ones and ~$492 for the old models at the current exchange rate!

That is a Prototype that they used for testing. The S2000, DC5 and New CTR (EP3) all use the same Monoblock caliper but use different brackets. The DC2/EK9 is a Twin block, the caliper is 2 pieces and the bracket is part of the back side of the caliper. The S2000,DC5,EP3 Caliper is one piece and the bracket is another piece
