89si mods
89 prelude si, are there any mods worth doing to these cars with 195k on them. the car runs great and still pulls really well especially on cooler days,it's a noticeable differance. because of this i thought a cold air set up might work well? does anybody even make such a thing for these cars or could i make one myself? also are there any worthwhile exhaust mods like a cat-back or maybe just a less restrictive muffler? as far as exhaust goes i'm not interested in any of that 2 stroke dirtbike sounding crap that you can hear a mile away, literally. my muffler now has a hole in it and actually has a nice deep tone that sounds pretty good except that it's about to fall off. a deeper quieter "sleeper" muffler or cat-back would be nice, who makes them and about how much?
You would most likely have to go custom for the exhaust, and I would say use a remus, magnaflow, or thermal r&d muffler. All look good, and sound good as well. For the intake, I don't know if anybody makes them but you can find one for another car like a 3rd or 4th gen accord, which has a similar body style, and make it fit. I know how hard it was to find **** for the 3rd gens, I still miss mine a lot
Look for Civic intakes for a CAI. There are VERY limited exhaust systems available. I'd go the custom/universal route there. There are a few headers out there too.
