Default Curious...Any major difference btween gsr and R fuly built w/turbo

Just theoretically speaking is there any major difference if you use same turbo setup, same build up etc etc down to intake manifold, tb etc..... I just wondered for the fact that not alot but some R owners have fully built bullet proof engines as well as gsr owners, and wondering why the R owners in going that route just didn't purchase a gsr to begin with(besides the fact it's a "TYPE R")? I know of a few differences of course is cams, intake mani, not sure bout TB, tranny. Again it's just out of curiosity if the power output will be inthe smilar range between the 2 models if met to those extremes of modding. Thanks,

Nick

True....mostly outside of their engine, it's mostly suspension that overtakes the GSR. Anywho, if you're building up a GSR or R, it's most likely for turbo, which means forged internals and low comp pistons. That would pretty much make them equal as far as the motor goes. The intake manifold differences and ECU differences probably wouldn't amount to much in the end.

Isn't the R just the tiniest bit lighter too?

Besides, it's just cooler to say you have an R.
