Hi!

I have a Prelude 88mod 2.0EX and having some trubble with the idle speed and when i'm driving on low ide. As when start driving from 1st and 2nd gear.

But i found this part in the engine when 1 cable was broken and hanging loose. And i can't find out the name on this part and what it does..
So hope some of you guys could help putting a name on it..as i have to replace it.. here's some pics..

Its on your thermostat case, so I guess it is a sensor assembly for your thermostat/water...

 

I doubt one vacumm hose would bither the idle too much...When was your last tune up? I see your Spark plug wires dont match. Maybe run some carb cleaner. A can a seafom transformed my old carb'd prelude.

-i've changed the spark plugs and measured the resistance in the cabels.. -so don't think anythings' wrong there. -But the idle speed tend to change from time to time..

I don't know if that valve has something to do with those problems.. but i guess i have to replace it! -now i know what to buy at least, hehe. -thanks!
