Prothane bushings, or all new OEM?
I am going to be replacing most of the suspension bushings on my civic here shortly, but I'm not sure if I should do all new OEM, or prothane. The only thing that scares me about the poly bushings is the sagging, and squeeking rumors.
Whats your choice?

I have a lot of hard bushings in my car. They do squeak quite a bit. Seems like every grease I've tried wears off after awhile. If I had to do it again I would of stuck with softer rubber, but it's not bad enough to change them all back.

I need more input. I think so far, this is a little prothane Biased...

I would for sure run the Honda bushings over the polyurethanes. The polys dont let the suspension move like it supposed. They also can squeak if there not greased right. Kingmotorsports.com sells the Mugen Bushing kits and just pieces for our cars. They say there way eaiser to install than the polys, last way longer, dont squeak, and allow full suspension movement. The Mugens are pretty much the same bushing as the stock hondas except there about 25% stiffer I think. People say they feel no difference but thats what Mugen Claims. I thought about getting the polys, not no more.
When you install coilovers you get more noise, when you install an aftermarket exhaust you get more noise. The point is you have to sacrifice something to gain something.
In this case installing poly bushes will give you a more responsive steering feel, but the drawback is you might get a tad more noise then the OEM bushes.
I have had a Energy suspension hyperflex kit installed for 12 months and its been the best mod done to my car yet, it handles so much better, and even the braking performance improved (the nose of the car didnt dive as much under heavy braking)
A word of advice, when you order the bushes order the black bushes, they are self impregnated with grease, and supposedly dont squeak as much.
Notch up another vote for the prothane bushes for me

I have full prothane kit and no squeeks at all, except for my trailing arm bushings, they are worse when it gets wet.
I have not got around to it but apparently when you install them and clean the pins, I like most people clean them to a polish and that's the problem, the mirror finish causes a squeek, if you change the rear trailing arm bushings you shoud roughen up the pins and lube them and they won't squeek.
People who say that you get suspension bind don't know the truth, they claim urethane bushings bind cause the suspension won't articulate when they move it by hand, that's the whole problem, what is you hand going to do compared to a turn at 60 km/h and 1600 plus pounds, trust me they will articulate, it's not brass, just a harder rubber.

Well, I think I've made up my mind. I'm going to do a mixture of OEM honda, Mugen, and Prothane.
I'm going to do the lower control arms with mugen/OEM(mugen doesn't make the 91 rear bushings) bushings; rear uppers, sway bars and compensator arms with polys.
I wlll also be installing a set of HardRace street spec trailing arm bushings.
I think this should be a good compromise of comfort, control, and noise.
