Default got my panther plus pads

I am going to put these on this weekend in preparation for VIR. What grit sand paper should i use to scrub these down with before i put them on? are there shims behind the stock pads? Should i reuse them or leave them out? and the back of the pad gets a coat of antiseize, right? anything else i need to know besides doing a search. Thanks guys.

Call Andie Lin at Carbotech - http://www.carbotecheng.com - he has all the instructions for bedding/prepping the pads...

I think the stuff on the back of the pad is antisqueal compound made for that purpose - I don't think that's the same thing as antiseize.

Do not sand the pads.

Install them as per usual, and follow the bedding instructions on our webiste (www.carbotecheng.com) under the FAQ.

On new pads? I don't see a purpose. On glazed pads on the other hand....

alot of pad makers want you to lightly sand the rotor before pad installation to remove any oil/grit/crap, but I've never heard of sanding the pads???

I have installed these pads several times without sanding them. The only thing you need to do is bed them in properly. Most importantly enjoy them!

Yeah, you can sand the rotors to remove your prior brake pads friction material so the new pad has a "fresh" service to bed in with..
