Unorthodox Racing: Tuner series vs. Ultra S series
I know alot of you don't believe in underdriving the crank pulley, but the one I got on my h22a swap is in really bad condition and in my research I have read some stuff saying its not as much of a big deal on our engines as it is on V6 and V8 engines. I think one of the things I read was a post here relatively recently.
Anyhow my current crank pulley is chipped and its not in terrible condition, but I don't like having damage on rather important parts. So from what I have read, Unorthodox is the best way to go with crank pulleys for quality and safety on the engine. I was wondering if anyone has used this and any feedback on their pulleys. How does it feel, effect driveability, etc... and more specifically what are the differences between the Tuner and Ultra S versions? I have been reading their website and can't seem to find much more information other than generic stuff explaining how underdriving the crank pulley works.

The damping the pulley does is to resist TORSIONAL vibration. It is important to have a FUNCTIONAL peice on the crank snout.

You're contridicting yourself here. You are agreeing that this is an important part, but then you say Unorthodox is the best way to go for quality and saftey.
Get another OEM one, a Fluidampr (I beleive the H22 version is out now) or ATI if they have theirs available yet.
This way you get a high quality FUNCTIONAL crank pulley, and I know that the Fluidampr one can be ordered so it underdrives the accessory belts.
