jdm h22 timing/distributor instal help...
well, i have a jdm h22a in a 92 accord... (im actually working on tunning it right now) never mind that though.... well, i was trying to get my basemap to work right when the dredded h22 distributor **** the bed on me... now i was just wondering if the distributor going bad may have messed up stuff in my head (how would i know if **** was damaged) and how do i install the new distrib to make sure its set at the proper timming (is that a mark or something?) thanks guys...
kool, thats what i figured... now i was also told that the h22 timing was "different" with the h22... for example... you could turn the distributor all you want and not affect the timing... i guess what im asking is.. how do i adjust the timing on the h22? thanks again...
Actually it can damage the whole head when a distributor bearing stalls... Then it locks and your camshaft wants to spin
Something will give up. Mostly camshaft. You can imagine the result

oh boy.. haha.. i dont think it stalled though.. i think it just wore out ... it had the typical "red dust" in the cap but when i took the distrib out it would spin ok but you could hear it grinding... thanks for the info...
does anyone else have any tips on timing this bitch? thanks...
