Default What can I clean the inside of a turbo with?

Alright, I'm about to turbo my car. The turbo I bought is welded to the manifold, so I'm working on cutting them apart. Yesterday I seperated the inducer and exducer. The turbine on the exhaust side is covered in the typical carbon buildup that comes from regular use.

I was currious as to what I could use to clean this off. Carb cleaner, PB Blaster, WD 40.

Suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Nick

I am wondering the same thing.

I am going to be rebuilding my turbo soon so I have the housings off and want to clean them up before putting it all back together. I am probably just going to use some parts cleaner or something.

I don't think you have to use anything special.

I didn't think there was, but I just figured I would check first. I am leaning towards using PB blaster just because of the way it tends to get every thing really clean. Either that or Carb Cleaner.
