i-beams are better........but get some manley rods, or pauter. manley rods are super strong rods, and they are priced pretty low compared to pauter.........more comparable to the i-beams.

i had h-beams in my 377whp h22, and the rod bolts broke causing total engine damage. this is not to say because the h-beams are bad..........i'm sure the i-beams probably even use the same bolts..........but if you're going to build an engine, you might as well spend a little extra here and there to save you any possible headaches in the long run. i'd say go with some manley or pauter (if you can afford it) rods, or at least the i-beams.
