I own a 89 civic HB and have the stock motor in it and I just bought a D16A1 engine from a junkyard. They only problem is the engine dont have a tranny w/it or a ecu.

Can I use the same tranny that's in my car? What type of ecu do I need to buy? Plus what else do I need to buy to get this engine running?

Any information will be helpful.

The stock 1.5 trans will work (4 or 5 speed). You will need the pm6 computer or equivalent (ZC computer would work the best.) Check these links out for more info, next time do a search first.

sure you can. It's basically a usdm dohc zc. I am quite sure it bolts in with some swaps of engine mounts etc.

 

not going to work. sell those d16a1's to people with 1st gen crx Si's
