Skunk2 mani on ls problem????
I have searched and havent found what im looking for. I just installed a skunk2 intake manifold on my 91 DA and the idle is very low, even when the car is cold. I Have a jdm b18b converted to obd1 and everything seems to run fine but it set a cel. I have checked all the vaccum lines and nothing seems to be disconnected. I did however loop the coolant lines from the mani right back into the head, thus eliminating the coolant from going thru the throttle body ect..(it was easier at the time) If this was a bad idea please let me know as well as any other suggestions. TIA
There was also a small valve thing on the distributor side of the stock manifold under the throttle body that i left out because there wasnt a place for it on the s2 one. I figured it must have not been that important but if you know what im talking about le tme know if i need it, again TIA.

Not sure exactly..if you could get some pics that'd be helpful. I know over at nonvtec.com there are a bunch of guys running the s2 manifold on similar setups - you might ask there.
The throttle body bypass is fine...no problems there. You need to pull the ECU code though to continue diagnosing the problem (many how-tos around about this).
Idle fix may be as simple as using the idle adjustment screw to raise it up a little. Though, if it's idling around 750-800rpm ...this is normal, even when cold. usually it'd idle much higher when cold, but since you bypassed the valve that control that (the cold idle air valve or whatever it's proper name is)....by rerouting the hoses.....no longer

when you bypassed those water hoses, did you keep the ones on the idle air control valve hoses in place? this could cause the problem. easy way to check this if you have a/c....let the car warm up and then turn the a/c on if the idle drops alot or it stalls....its the IACV. if not keep checking. usually a vacuum leak will result in a higher idle, in my experiance, so i doubt its that.
Yes i did bypass the iacv as well, ive thought that might have been the problem so maybe ill try and connect them again. To get get a better picture of the coolant hose it is looped a complete 180 degrees from the head to the large jacket on the im(about 4 inches of hose total) I adjusted the idle screw to idle around 900 and all is good except for the cel? the idle is also a bit more rough than it was before but that is hardly noticable. Ill try the ac thing also, thanks for the help
