K20a3 swap ??
Ok so there are two of these K20a3 motor from a base model RSX and EP3 SI
What are the difference of the two motor besides the exhaust manifold on the RSX??
and Why are they not worth swaping into a different chassis such as an eg?? If I can find them cheap for like $1000-1500 for the K20a3 motor/tranny is that good enough of a deal or should I save up for the K20A2.

depends if u are goin boost??? cuz the k20a3 is good for boost...but if u want good speed rite out the box..the a2...because u get a better tranny..u get "real" vtec...and it shure sounds nice at 8000 rpm!!!...wait a2 has 7900...mine has 8100...z1!!
The intake manifold is also diffrent (exhaust manifold might be diffrent, but I don't believe it'll have any effect on flow numbers between the 2 stock). The Si uses the same single stage manifold as the A2 where as the base uses a vacume acctuated dual stage IM.
In my opinion I think that the K20A3 is worth swapping into another car.
It makes just as much power as a B16 does with more torque. Also it is a much newer motor and a lot of aftermarket support is out for them and continuing to come out. On top of that, you can add a 6 speed to it or even convert the 5 speed to 6 speed if you choose to do so (read the latest issue of Honda Tuning).
Plus if you did the swap in an EG, EK, EF, DC, etc. it would set the car up to swap in any other K series including the K20A, K20A2, K24A2 ...
