Default New 2 Honda and need to learn. 88 HB DX 2 sohc VTEC

ATTN: All Honda guys

I just bought a 1988 Civic dx Hatch. I really Like it, but the quest for more power has begun and I really want to know more about what I can do to improve what I have untill I can do a sohc vtec swap.I have the ultra powerful and desirable D15B2 HEH HEH. So what can I do to this thing guys? Also what do I need to do later to convert to a single cam vtec setup. I'm not planning to race I just would like to eventually do the vtec setup so I can have some stoplight fun. I would assume that since I don't have a multi-port system that my options are limited so all help and suggestions are welcomed.

Thanx

I would swap to MPFI right off the bat, better mileage and power across the RPM range.

How much is involved in swapping to mpfi? Where can I get the stuff I need?

You need a MPFI distributor, ECU, intake manifold (w/ sensors and injectors, fuel rail, etc), and injector resistor box. I think thats it, its been like 6 years since I've done one.

thanx guys, I'm on my way. Here's a ? Would you guys go ahead and try to pick up a used vtec engine and use the conversion from rywire to do a dpfi to a mpfi vtec? I hear that you can pick up used single cam vtec engines on the cheap. And if I go junk yard hopp'n what car should I look in for the best D16 W/VTEC AND what is the engine code? thanx
