Default 3" exhaust on a na b16

like the topic says , i bought my car with a ghetto fab. exhaust that ran below the gas tank, then i replaced the fuel pump (cut the exhaust to drop the tank) well the car runs great with the open header but cant do that too much ( cops ,loud exhaust ish) so on to my question, im planning to boost my car very soon so i really dont want to buy a 2 1/4 or 2 1/2inch exhaust the njunk it once my car is boosted and go 3", so will the car run fine n/a with a thermal 3" for the time being ?? i know ill loose some power and so on but as far as just driving to and from work , will it be fine???

My friend ran his EG (was going to go turbo) with a 3" exhaust on a b16a, I was expecting for the low end to be aweful, but i was seriously surprised, the low end was fine and the top end was even better!!

From personal experence, there is no need to unless going turbo. 2.5" is a nice medium
