Default Radiator fan not turning on? (please be nice to the noob)

Ever since I replaced my thermostat (with one that isn't stuck open all of the time) my engine hasbeen running a little hotter than before. Before it was usually around 25% on the gauge, and now it's probably like 35%. I know, nothing to worry about.

I did notice, however, that the radiator fan never turns on.

What are the possible reasons for this?

I'm going to check the fuses later today to see if one is blown. I also want to check the fan itself and see if it works independantly. Is there a part that could have been damaged and is essentially not telling the fan to turn on? A simple wire perhaps?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Check to see if it is the fan motor itself... there are two wires going to the fan, attach 1 to the positive battery, attach the other to the negative batttery... balck = negative. If that all works good check the relay, it is near the passengerside headlight... they are only a few bucks at your local auto store.

The temp switch turns on the relay. The relay turns on the fan. The temp switch is located on the back of the engine and above the oil filter towards the driver side. It has two wires attached to it. Dont get it confused with the oil sender switch, which has only one wire. Its a pain to get to. But if you can remove the two wires and jumper them, the fan should work. If it does, then your switch is bad.

The relay is located behind the pass' side headlight. Its mounted with one 10mm bolt and has a black cover on it.
