Oil in Sparkplug Hole
Over the weekend I was checking the sparkplugs on my "96 Accord. I noticed when I placed my sparkplug socket in the hole that it was drenched in oil. Could this be the tube seal in the valve cover?
chances are, yes. Replace them and see if that solves your problem. If not, you may need to replace the lower tube seals. But most likely it's the upper tube seals, they seem to be the culprit most of the time.
I've never had to replace them so I'm not exactly sure what is needed to be done to replace them. I don't have my Helms with me so I can't look in there right now. I'm sure it's been covered, just try searching. You'll probably find it in a thread that also discussed the upper tube seals.
MOST LIKELY IT IS THE SEAL UNDERNEAT THE VALVE COVER THE ONLY LOWER TUBE SEALS THAT I HAVE EVER REPLACED WERE 88-91 CIVICS AND 94-95 PASSPORTS
