Should one keep their stock ITR parts
I'm fixing to start modding my car and was curious to know if it would be advantageous (sp) to keep the stock I/H/E. It would be so much cheaper to just sell them and have money for upgrades. Have ya'll sold your stock parts or do you keep them?
I kept all of my stock parts....down to the nuts and bolts, it is nice if/when you decide to go back to stock, or change your modification path.

I sold my exhaust but everything else I'm keeping. The wife just wouldn't let me keep an exhaust in the garage, she made me get rid of it.
I've been wondering the same thing - I know I'm going to be keeping my R as my track car for a long time. Plus - i have another car as my daily driver. I need to keep the header/cat/exhaust so I can pass emissions every 2 years - but other than that I'm wondering if I should sell:
1. stock suspension including rear sway bar
2. stock rims/tires
3. stock intake
4. front seats
5. exhaust system
all this stuff is in my storage right now and I really don't want to keep it. I have no intention of selling the car and if I do - I would just sell it to someone who wants a track car with a ton of good quality mods.
I'm also planning to put in a weld in cage next month - so I figure my being able to sell it in "stock" form in the future is S.O.L. Plus I can get good money for all the above listed parts as they are readily sellable. Once the DC5 Type R comes out - I suppose the interest in the DC2 R parts will go down.......what to do what to do???

I've sold the pricey stock items like the rims and seats. I still have the stock header and exhaust because they seem to not be worth much. The $1400 I got for the seats and rims wasn't bad in offsetting the recaros and volks. Although oneday I may decide to go back to stock, I doubt it. I haven't missed the stock seats and rims yet. If I still had them they'd be sitting for 2 yrs so far gathering dust.
