Need an Opinion ASAP please! Will GREDDY E-MANAGE properly tune a JRSC ITR!?
i am getting pissed off with this obd1 p28 uberdata setup and i was wondering if the greddy e-manage could probably tune my JRSC itr with the stock ECU in place and 440cc injectors The injectors were rewired for obd1, but they still should work??
i searched and didnt find a whole lot
please respond to this with as much info or opinions on greddy e-manage as possible asap.
also...if not greddy e-manage, what about vafc-2?
please dont say, just get hondata and do it right, because i want to avoid obd1 right now

Why?</TD></TR></TABLE>
because i have obd1 440cc injectors and its a pain in the BALLZ to have to rewire them 2 seperate times just to have the car inspected each year
this thread is about greddy e-manage...i already know hondata is wonderful

Make and easy quick connect/disconnect for those plugs.

I'm assuming you just have OBD1 injector clips on your stock OBD2 engine wiring harness. Is this correct?
What does that have to do with which computer you can run?

Why don't you put in OBD1 stock injectors when inspection time comes around?

You can just tune it so that it passes.

what im trying to do here is this:
1. make it easy to pass for inspection
2. make it run right
3. not pay 1500 for hondata
4. get rid of my current uberdata setup because uberdata makes me angry

I still don't understand why would you change injector clips when your car needs to get inspected rather than just put some stock OBD1 injectors in. That's far more work than you need to be doing.
If you want your car to run right, it's going to cost money.
If you want your car to run right, it's going to cost money.
I guess I'm not understanding what the real problem is. It should be very simple and only take about 20 min or less to switch injectors and your ecu so you can pass smog, especially if you make connectors on your harness and both sets of injector clips.
I'm sure an experienced tuner "could" tune your car with the Emanage, but why spend the money on that when a good tuner could tune your car just as well with the setup you currently have?
EDIT I just noticed your post, but very simply you can just use obd1 injectors for inspection like others have said and get someone that is knowledgable in tuning uberdata or chrome to tune your car. Its not about the system you use, but the tuner that tunes it. I ran my jrsc itr setup using uberdata and the car ran fine (considering it was already damaged from the poorly tuned jackson racing band-aid setup). TUNING TUNING TUNING thats what you should be thinking. Now I can understand if you live in an area where someone close by is knowledgeable in tuning one engine managment over another, but I would really look for someone to better tune your current setup. Out of curiosity, where do you live, maybe I can help you.

Quitter.
Emanage works well enough. I can practically guarantee you that you'll be running rich on the high end, the stock ECU seems to like it that way. It's good for adding fuel but not great for taking it away.
There's an E-Manage Yahoo group (actually 2, one for all emanage, one for just Nissan's or something). They might be more help.
I have one for sale
Comes with a tune for 310cc's and GReddy kit, and I have the programmer software and cable to boot. Used for a month. I swapped to Hondata because I couldn't get it quite right. My tuner may have sucked though.

That seems a little rich. I bought my s200 used for $450CAD and had it tuned for $225, street tune only. Perhaps with the JR set-up there is much more tuning involved*shrug*
Sorry to hear your having so many problems
I agree with what has already been said; whatever the tuner you trust is good with, use that
