I'm after switching out the engine in my 1988 Honda Civic (Hatchback) to a newer JDM D15B with VTEC. I'm just curious of what all must be switched out. Also, which ECU do I need and do I need to upgrade my fuel pump & fuse box to accomodate the addition?

nope and nope. Fuel pump and fuse box are fine.

If that's a DX hatchback you'll need to rewire it for MPFI.
Rywire offers the service as well as the OBD1 conversion parts.
You'll send us both the Hatch engine harness and the OBD1 D15B harness and you'll get a harness back thats made exactly for that engine in your car.
The cost for that conversion to OBD1 is $300 including shipping.

If you just want the MPFI swap with VTEC done (running a chipped OBD0 PR3/PW0) then it's $175.

We recommend you go with an OBD1 ECU however. The distributor that will come with that engine will be OBD1 or 2 anyway, so you'll have to spend that extra $125 somewhere.. May as well be for the right stuff.
