question about exhuast and gas mileage
Question #1:
Since like a couple weeks ago, there has been some sort of rattling in the back of my car. I know it's from my exhaust. I jacked up my car in the back right where my muffler is and poked my head under. No visible holes or visible things that would make it rattle. Everytime I pull or push on the muffler, the rattling stops. I guess everytime there is some sort of pressure on the muffler from its rest position it makes it stop. Anyone know what can cause this rattling?
Question #2:
Ever since I took off my resonator, maybe it's just me but I have noticed my fuel gauge moves a lot more than usual. It only get louds when I'm on the gas all the way and when I go from a regular start all the way on the gas just shifting at 3, the fuel gauge goes down, like 2 or 3 millimeters. Then when I get coasting again it goes back up to the fuel level. Also, it seems like my car eats up more gas now. My question is, did taking off the intake resonator decrease my gas mileage in anyway?

First of all, your muffler may be just loose enough to cause it to rattle, but when you push on it, it is too tight to rattle. Mine is kinda like that.
Secondly, taking the resonator off wouldn't make enough of a difference in mileage for you to notice.
