94 Accord w/F22b2,well,I noticed a leak under my distributor and replaced the distributor o-ring.A few days later I checked and still oil,it's like it's leaking out of the cap and running down. It's not from the head nor the 2 sensors under the dizzy. It had obviously done this for some time, because it got on my heater valve to block hose and softened it,causing it to bust.Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
sounds like you got an inner distr shaft seal leaking you got to take distr all apart and replace the lower inner shaft seal........

it sounds as if he has already replaced the shaft seal...he said he "replaced the distributer o-ring" if so, then it is probably not that, i would suggest the valve cover gasket and if your motor is vtec equipped, check also the between the head and the mating surface of the vtec solenoid... if its leaking oil from where you described there is not much that it could be...

yo mom read what he said ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,he stated he replaced the distr o-ring that is the o-ring on the outside of the distributor ,,,,,,,,,,he also said there is oil coming out of cap .......valve cover will not make an oil leak from inside cap ....

yo fe cam seal is on the other side of the engine

I had the same problem on my 90.
The inner shaft seal was the problem.
Parts are cheap and Distributor is easy to rebuild.

ok 1 the o-ring and the shaft seal are two diff things, 2 if you would have read the post you would have read that his car has a f22b2, that is a non vtec motor, 3 if it was vtec that is leaking, it would not cause a leak under the dizzy, b/c on sohc vtec cars the vtec solenoid is mounted on the back of the head unlike dohc cars witch is mounted right next to the dizzy.

Thanks for the suggestions,I'm thinking the seal inside the distributor itself, theres supposed to be a bearing and seal in there,so where can you buy the bearing/seal at?I checked Majestic Honda and I only see the complete distributor.Oh,its non VTEC btw.

It might be the o ring needs silicone around it.
Do what I do, put silicone around the end of the dizzy
it'll solve your problem

Well I thought about putting silicone where the cap goes on the distributor, but maybe the cap would fill up with oil over time, and being theres electricity in there, that idea seems kinda dangerous.I'll take it apart this weekend and see what I find.
