Default ECU question

Putting in a B16 Sir-II in my 95 Sol. Had a D16Z6. My question is do i need to run any wires to the ECU for the B16? I was told that the P30 would plug right in no problem at all. Also will the engine harness on the B16 plug into the same connectors as the D16?

the P30 will plug right in, but you may need to add a few wires depending on which version of the DelSol you have.

If your getting a jdm engine then the harness will not work. You will have to get a left hand drive harness (usdm or canadian). You can use your d16z6 harness with a little modifications and stretching out/extending the wiring alittle. Then I not sure is your del sol has the knock sensor wire already there just check with a manual to see if the wire is present. The p30 ecu should plug in with no problem as slong as you got the obd 1 ecu.

if you can re-wire wires.. all you have to do is make the wires longer.. or get another harnes.. modifing the the current d series harness all you will have to do is change over a few sensors/ and the fuel injector plugs. you will need to run a vtec wire/oil pressure sensor wire

Everything should be plug-n-play using the harness from your Z6. You will have to add the wire for the knock sensor and possibly extend a few wires.

just slice the loom carefuly for the o2 sensor and reroute to where it goes on the b16, also you will have to add a wire to D3 ( ibelieve ) for the knock sensor. Avoid extending wires as this can cause problems, I did the same swap in my 94 ex and didn't have to extend any wires
