Default ls/vtec or poormans type r

i have been collecting parts for an ls/vtec for about 3 months (a few things when i can afford them) i have a ls block and a b16 head, oil/water pump, pistons, rods... but the other day i came across a gsr block for cheep... I'm going to get the block but should i leave the gsr crank or swap out the ls crank for just the little bit more torque?

i'd leave the gsr crank, gives a better r/s ratio and will last longer when people drive like ********.
