Accord compression?
Well guys I just picked up a 1998 Honda Accord 4cyl VTEC, and after months of no mods I am decided to go turbo. But I want to know what kind of compression this motor makes. My friend has a f22 and I believe his motor is a 8.8.1 compression ratio which is great for boost, it also has cast iron sleeves. Is it the same for the f23? Please guys I need your help before I approach this project.
yeah probably soo...well im fabbing up my equal length i have not decided on a turbo yet...but im looking at a garrett T3 Super 60.

boost it dude!
u'll love it. whatever anyone says about the F23, dont believe it! i managed to run 17psi on my stock engine street tuning it with AEM EMS. i street tuned it for a good year at 10psi......then worked my way to
12psi->15psi->17psi
if you keep it from knocking, you can make quite a bit of power without breaking a ringland. they will break of course if it knocks or runs lean.
i dyno'ed 209whp/221wtq@8psi, this is my daily driver. at 15psi i could hang side by side with the newer stock SS camarros. at 10psi side by side with MACH1's.
if ur going build a equal length turbo-mani, hit me up when ur done. if its badass, then i might have u make me one. i'm in the process of starting a new setup....shooting for big power on a built engine and a bigger turbo. just installed my H22 tranny bout a month ago, it feels like theres good potential for fast *** acceleration now. you might never go back once u feel boost. at 3,000rpms on 8psi i was making right about 200 foot pounds to the wheels. hit 17psi by 3,700rpms. this was on a stock drag turbo kit w/ a t3/t4b turbo. my rev-limiter was set to 7,200rpms. i got a video some where running 17psi and of my dyno, i'll post it when i find it.

good deal... as you can see in my sig., I run a boosted f22 as well...
(do you have to take out the front motor mount for that manifold... looks like it from the pic)
just got retuned and this thing runs great... beyond my expectations for low boost.

hey man could you post the vid of your accord on boost? i have a basically stock 00 accord lx coupe 5 spd (f23a4 engine) and am looking for some basic mods to do. i eventually wanted to get a j-spec h22a but now that you said turbo'ing the f23 is great too i might end up doing just that instead. only problem my car has 90k on it already....

street racing gets a big
....if you want to endanger your own life, you can do it either on the track or out on some straight *** country road...but to be street racing in a populated city area, that's just plain dumb...you just need to realize that you are putting others' lives in danger by engaging in such an activity...
