Default Iridium plugs actually do spark easier.....

For a while on my new motor i've been running NGK BKR7E sparkplugs. Car idled and ran good...
I blew my headgasket with only 900 miles on my new motor. Replaced it today, and put in my NGK BKR8EIX sparkplugs. The plugs are 1 stage colder then what i was previously running, but they are Iridium.
The iridium plugs actually do run SMOOTHER then copper plugs. The car idles smoother, cruises smoother, and when i pulled the plugs they looked very clean for just cruising with such a cold plug. After all they are 3 stages colder then stock...
So, all in all, i feel that the Iridium sparkplugs actually do fire easier then a standard copper plug, which i didnt believe until i ran them...

I thought the whole point of the coppers was the fatter electrode and that the iridiums were way more prone to detenation because of the tiny electrode.

I will stick with my copper core ngk's...

Seeing as how copper is a better conductor than Iridium/platinum, I don't understand how it could be a 'better' plug.

the only thing platinum and iridium plugs are good for is longevity......they will not wear out nearly as fast as normal copper plugs.

It's not worth the extra cash.

No ****! LoL...

It's all in your head man. The only thing better about the iridium plugs is the weight savings from having a lightened wallet after buying them.

from what i read, they say iridium is easier for the spark to jump the gap with less voltage...then copper...
I hate platinum, they suck, and misfire like crazy....

I dont know guys, i was just saying what i feel. I have always ran copper plugs in my cars and nothing else, but after talking to a few people with supras, they run these plugs and love them, so i gave them a shot and my car does idle smoother. I have no-vtec with a large camshaft....so i have a lopey idle.... I feel its smoother idling and in the lower r's cruisin with the BKR8EIX...
