Default Radio Antenna

Is there any way to disconnect the power to the radio antenna motor, leaving it up and having it still having reception?

edit: does anyone also have a picture of how to take out the lining in that area. There seems to be this small circular plastic piece that seems to be pressed on. im not able to get it off.

All you have to do is take back that panel its behind, then there is a grey connector for the bottom of the antenna, just disconnect it after the antenna is up. Sorry, I don't have a picture right now though. Good luck!

It seems like there is a plastic "rivet" in that area that wont let me pull back the panel. What to do?

Pop the rivet out. Its just a plastic trim clip. Why do you want to leave the antenna up all the time?
