Someone know a powder coater ?
It's done per part so........... we'd need to know what 'part'. A brake caliper is going to cost slightly more than having a locomotive chassis powdercoated.
I'm guessing this is for your fancy fender braces which I would guess would be in the range of $300-$500 depending on the coating (1 color vs 5 colors and what type of powder).
http://www.lo-ko.com/ Lo-Ko on the southside of Chicago does great work at reasonable prices.
They're at 111th and Central Ave. just before you go underneath the bridge for the railroad across from the cemetary. Get it done local otherwise you'll end up with some scratched up items via UPS.

It will vary a bit depending on how many differant colors you want and how many of each color. They do them in batchs and usually the more you have that are the same the cheaper it gets per piece. Basically what backpurge said.
Well I do not want anything fancy, the cheapest route which I think would be black. And yes there for the fender braces. Still deciding what to do though. Might just paint them in house.

We have a 10'x12'x10' oven and booth for sale with one Nordson gun and one cheap gun and quite a few 50lb bags of black powder. Asking $25,000.

I am all the way in Cali, but my guy cuts me a hell of a deal. 1-15 pieces, all the same color for $75.....if I only have one piece its $75 for the one piece, but if I have 15, he only charges me $75 for the entire lot. Just to give you a figure...look around and get in good with someone....they will hook you up.
Just out of curiousity....are there really a market for those fender braces? I havnt seen you advertise at all or anything so I figured there wasnt.....thought they were more for you and some of your buddies or what not.

I'm not a sponsor so I don't want to break any rules by advertising them. But lets just say I have about 20 orders right now, and I talked to a pretty big name distributor who wants to sell them in the UK.

Thats cool. I honestly do not see how they work at all. I will certainly not put yourproduct down or anything as I have never ridden in a car with them and then one without them but.....from the looks of the pictures and how they bolt and what not....they seem to be doing nothing. The place they bolt up is not a flex point really, and if it was, you need to tie both sides together, not just tie a bunch of existing holes together that are in that general area. Again, I am not putting you down at all, just saying...from my knowledge of how suspension works and what goes on when a car is subdued(sp?) to harsh driving conditions in corners....those do nothing. All in all, they ARE estetically(sp?) pleasing and I am glad you are able to market them and hopefully earn yourself a pretty penny...hopefully more.

Thats cool, I'm not trying to conveince anyone. Just selling something that know one really else makes. But if you ever saw a crx with the fender braces off, well take a look.
See the area in the box, thats basically where the front end connect to the rest of the car. Well when you bolt the fender braces up, its gonna keep the front end from flexing.

I see. As I said, I wasnt sure what they were intended to tie together. I guess they seem like they may do something. Was thinking the design needs to be more intraquete(sp?), but being that you still have to hide them behind your fenders, I can see how that limits the design. Again, GOOD JOB AT MAKIN SOME MOOLA! I remember when I first started selling my adjustable lower tie bars....it was AWESOME!

ask for Carl, he does top notch work and has always treated me right. Probably the best work I have found.

Exploited will do it for a good price, so I'm gonna go with him.
My question is, I have some pretty tight clearances on these pieces. If I have a piece of metal that is 4 inches wide and 4 inches tall, how much will that increase after the powder coat has been added and all said and done. Here is a pic of the tight clearance, in the circled area. See where the bracets are pretty close to the top and bottom of the door hinge. Will the powder coat be to thick ?

Normally...well with my experiences anyways...theonly places you may have clearance issues is in the bolt holes. And thats only if you have a really accurate drill press, and drillthe holes to the EXACT diameter of the bolt itself. As for the edges of the piece becoming longer or what not...I wouldnt worry about it. I highly doubt it will cause any problems!
