Default hows this one better?

just wondering is the stock radiator sufficent for a few light track days once or twice a year?

also a baffled oil pan is on the shopping list for sure. But is a catch can and oil cooler really necessary?

thx alot in advance...searched already but really didn't find what i was really after!

cheers

The stock ITR radiator can withstand repeated track abuse.

I don't consider a catch can or oil cooler necessary, but they're nice to have.

My car sees quite a bit of track time, and the coolant temperature needle still goes exactly where it did five years ago, no problems.

I haven't felt the urge for an oil cooler, but it wouldn't be a bad idea.

thank alot for the advice guys

just one last thing is there any negative sides to installing a catch can?
i read in the archive somewhere that it may cause lost of power over the years to a higher extent than just old age.

thx in advance

Before the next track event, I'll be installing this system in my car.

There are no drawbacks, providing that the hoses are routed properly.

I have 4,000 actual track miles on my ITR. It has the stock cooling system, and I haven't had any problems.

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

He can edit the post and fix it himself, if he knows the difference between } and ] .

can anyone please tell me what the difference is in design between this one

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1271191

and the the cusco oil catch can?

i can only see that there is a filter breather at the top, how does this effect the design?

sorry for having no idea...(i know what a catch can does, but failed to see if this one is better or not)

thx again
