Tranny and Warranty
My ITR just hit 38k and my tranny has had some issues of late. I had the syncros replaced under warranty about two years ago under warranty. Recently I had a clicking noise coming from the tranny. Everyone diagnoised it as the TO bearing. The clutch was replaced but, it still made the same noise. When the clutch was replaced all of the bolts seemed unusually loose. I figured the tech who replace the synchros must not have torqued everthing back to spec.
Bottom line... Will Acura fix mmy tranny with only 38k on the clock even though the 5 year mark hit in February? I'm hoping they would since they were the ones who cracked the case open to replace the syncros. I had the work done in Austin, Texas. I moved to ATL this week so I'm sure that will complicate matters.

You need to find out the fine print on the recent work, some places offer 12,000 or 12 months or 24,000 or 24months...
Take a look at the paper work and go from there.

5/yr 100,000km Warranty for drivetrain parts.
They should fix your tranny free of charge, your warranty hasn't expired.
MAKE SURE when you do go to ACURA you blame the problem on "DEFECTIVE parts.." insist on it being defective manufactored parts.. in general, thats what warranty covers. = )
EDIT: You bought the car Febuary of 2001 ?? Obviously not Feb 2000?.. since your car is a 2001 model?? EXP:2006 ? Im stumped myself now.. but i'd assume a 5-year term goes in regard of the production year of the vehicle, yours being 2001.
