How did you still mount your bumper with teh support taken out? The mounts aer made into that support on my 91 si bumper. Right now I have a 5" tall FMIC and I plan to upgrade to a JRC 8" soon, but I cant do it without removing part or all of the bumper support.

pics please

use a 88 hf bumper support they are basically a thin strip of metal just big enough to hang the bumper from, that would give you some clearance

With a 6" I just trimmed the bumper support a little. The 5" was actually more of a bitch to fit because of the endtank design. You just gotta get the i/c, take the bumper off, and do what you gotta do.

well, I plan to get at least a 10x3x31 intercooler for the next setup. Going to shoot for 450whp.

my original plans have changed slightly from the intercooler and setup perspective.

well I need to know what the maximum height I can fit is, while retaining the stock bumper and not hanging lower than the crossmember.

Bringing it back. How do you take the bumper support out? Anyone got pics of what I need to unbolt or cut to get it out of there? Once I get the stock one out, how would I get the 88 HF one to stay in place?
